A digital pen and ink illustration for I-Scream-Tacos a Taco truck in a converted ice cream van that usually do events but because of the current Covid 19 lockdown have started delivering to various areas around Bristol. Worth a go if they are in your area, they are delicious! I just did this illustration for fun and sent it to them and they will be printing them on T-shirts soon.

I was commissioned by Tiny Giant to create a series of masks to use as a photo filter in various apps during Mardis Gras. I illustrated the masks as flat vectors with shading and highlights etc as seen here. They were then developed by a 3D designer who adapted them so they could be used in augmented reality and appear on the user’s face through Instagram. If you are viewing this on a mobile you can see it here.

A series of illustrations for the animal charity PDSA that are being used as part of a new look for their fundraising materials. The illustrations have been used in a variety of fundraising guides and packs so far hopefully with more to come. Ink and watercolour style created using Adobe sketch and Adobe Fresco for iPad.

Map of Japan, one of my favourites from my latest project; Block maps. The rough shapes of countries are formed out of overlayed squares and rectangles and then rendered in the bold bright colours of the respective country’s flag. The capital city and the country are handwritten over the top in the native language*. The project isn’t finished yet, I still have most of Africa, the US and Canada and a bit of the middle east to do. Everywhere I have done to date can be found here

Maps are available to buy as prints and can be adapted/personalised to some extent, if you wanted a different city highlighting for example. please contact me for sizes/prices etc.

* The names of cities and countries and the characters they use has been researched exclusively using google translate so apologies for any errors that are almost certainly in some of them. I must also apologise for my handwriting when it comes to unfamiliar alphabets and characters.

I was lucky enough to have a design accepted for the Jersey Gorilla trail in the summer. My design, Dia De La Extinción (Day of the extinct) was a Mexican Day of the Dead inspired design decorated with the traditional skulls, hearts flowers as well as featuring several endangered animals from Durrell zoo. The auction was last week and my gorilla sold for a massive £18,000! Many thanks to whoever bought him.

Thanks again to Jonathan Bowcott for the great pictures

I have been working with a company called Tiny Giant, creating Monker’s Garkel, the world’s first algorithmically designed gin. I created and collated the visual elements for an algorithm which generated the label design, while other neural networks produced the name, copy and recipe. Here is the chosen label on a finished bottle alongside Ginette, the face of the neural network I illustrated for product’s social presence. Below are some of the other generated labels that we shortlisted. The gin will be launched at Tiny Giant’s technology event at the Square club in Bristol on 5th November but this limited edition is already available to buy from Psychopomp Microdistillery

I have been working with a company called Tiny Giant, creating the first algorithmically designed gin. I created and collated the visual elements for an algorithm which generated the label design, while other neural networks produced the name, copy and recipe.  I’ll post the finished label and bottle when it’s released but here is an illustration of Ginette, the avatar I illustrated for the project’s online presence. Created using illustrator and photoshop she is designed to look like a robot made from copper gin distilling equipment.

Selection of illustrated dog breeds. Done using the ink brush and water colour brush in adobe draw on the iPad pro.

A series of miniature pen and ink and water colour paintings of buildings. I hope to continue with this project and eventually compile a some sort of collection or exhibition. Each image is only 74 X 105 mm, the idea was to create some art that didn’t require much wall space. If you have a small space available and you’re interested in buying one or commissioning one of somewhere specific please get in touch.
