A series of cut out paper style illustrations of kings and queens of England for a pack of playing cards. Each card will be a face card and the colour pallettes are specific to each suit. The examples here are Henry 7th, Sveyn Forkbeard, George 1st and Stephen. The idea is to have them all chronologically starting with clubs then diamonds, hearts and spades.

A series of illustrations called Googly Idols. The idea was to depict musical ‘idols’ in this cut-out paper style and stick on actual googly eyes to use them as greetings cards with lines like ‘It’s your birthday, let’s dance’ etc. I’ve taken the lines off the gif as the movement made it hard to read. Idols I’ve done so far include David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, James Brown, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Lemmy

I was recently commissioned by The Wildfowl Wetlands Trust charity to illustrate a children’s book using the charity’s mascot Dusty Duck. The 32 page story written by Benjamin Hulme-Cross aims to highlight conservation issues with children and will be included in a mail pack as part of a membership retention piece.

I designed and painted one of the Manchester bees for the Bee in the city trail during the summer of 2018. My design, ‘Industrious’ was based on Manchester’s industrial history and inspired by the steam powered machinery at the museum of science and industry where the sculpture spent the summer. And I’m pleased to announce that this bee was sold at auction in October for £14,000! Thanks very much to whoever bought him.

And thanks again to Jonathan Bowcott for this cool image of it

I was commissioned by Bath Abbey to create a series of illustrations to be used during the Abbey’s renovation work. I illustrated the spaces inside (and underneath) the building that are being worked on as well as a series of historical characters from different periods who have a connection to the Abbey. Here are some photos of the illustrations in situ.

A pen and watercolour illustration of a boy playing with his presents while visiting his grandparents for Christmas. This was part of a series of illustrations for a fundraising mail pack for Alzheimer’s society telling the story of one family coping with dementia at Christmas.
