A pen and watercolour illustration of a boy on his way to his grandparents for Christmas. This was part of a series of illustrations for a fundraising mail pack for Alzheimer’s society telling the story of one family coping with dementia at Christmas.

An illustration for a poster for my children’s Christmas school fair. This was made out of shapes cut out of coloured card, laid on top of each other and then photographed.

Some images from a children’s book I have written and illustrated. A cautionary tale of the dangers of artificial intelligence! The hero Sam builds a robot to replace his boring old teacher but things soon start to go wrong.  I illustrated the characters as vectors and then used several scans of old paper and books to create the backgrounds and some of the overlayed textures. I have finished the whole book now so the easy bit is done, just need to find a publisher now…

I was interested in the idea of reducing great, famous works of art down to a few simple components. Partly to see if they could retain their essence but also to recreate them in a compact, simplistic digital format that we are so used to seeing now. Icons of icons.

If anyone would like to use them for anything please get in touch

This is my first fully illustrated published children’s book!  Published in America by Raintree it is part of a series of Fairy Tale Mash-ups and combines Puss in Boots with The Elves and the Shoemaker. It was available to buy here on Amazon

An eight page comic book style leaflet hand drawn in fineliner and then shaded with grey in photoshop. This piece was is part of an emergency fundraising direct mail pack for Medecins Sans Frontieres, an overseas aid charity. The story concentrates on the huge problem of malnutrition for the people of Borno State in North East Nigeria displaced due to the fighting between government forces and Boko Haram.

This pack has recently won two Cream awards for advertising in best direct mail pack and best use of illustration.

A series of vector illustrations of characters from classic horror films. These were created as a piece of proactive work for Samsung to promote their TVs around Halloween but they didn’t go for it.  Can you guess all 15 films from the characters? (Apologies for the poor quality, I had to display the animation as a gif here)

I’ve just finished painting a trail of fibre glass ‘Dusty Ducks’ designed by Aardman. I worked with various celebrity ideas to design, develop and paint several of the 6 foot tall sculptures to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Wildfowl Wetlands Trust. The Trail opened on the 9th of July and the sculptures will be out in the Slimbridge centre until the 10th of September.

A series of 24 simple colour block designs. Based on the colours and styles of the new football kits for Euro 2016. They are a personal project and weren’t commissioned by anyone. I’m not sure what to do with them really, I thought they’d look nice as prints maybe. Any ideas let me know.
